It embodies the rigorous and intricate counterpoint of the German style, the graceful yet generous spirit of the Italian tradition, and the profound emotional depth of the French royalty. These timeless melodies, once heard, immediately evoke a sense of distant memory and quiet reflection.
I am particularly drawn to how Baroque music conveys the most delicate shades of human feeling—how tension and release, perpetual motion and subtle balance, ultimately converge into a harmony that feels both inevitable and eternal.
